Chelsea, Madrid in for Toure

Both Chelsea and Real Madrid are reportedly preparing €25m moves this summer for Manchester City’s Yaya Toure.

The Ivory Coast international’s agent has this week vocalised the player’s frustration with management at the English club, with it rumoured to be particularly aimed at former Barcelona and current City sporting director Txiki Begiristain.

The player’s apparent threat to leave the club in the summer unless he is handed a new contract has reportedly raised the interest of Chelsea and Madrid.

Both clubs are listed today by The Sun as preparing €25m bids for the highly-paid midfielder, in the form of a signing on fee for the player.

Aged 29, Toure is seen as likely, if he were to leave, to use FIFA legislation to buy his way out of his City contract, at that cost of €25m.
