Barca eye German trio

Barcelona are reportedly preparing to raid the Bundesliga this summer for three young footballing talents to strengthen their team with.

The club are seen as in the market this coming transfer window to reinforce for a number of positions, including primarily centre-back and goalkeeper.

Sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has reportedly sent technical scouts out to Germany to monitor a trio of targets, with a view to making moves at the end of the season.

Specifically, the Catalans are again today being paired in Spain with moves for Borussia Dortmund’s highly-rated defender Mats Hummels and Borussia Monchengladbach’s promising ‘keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Barca are also seen as keen on Hummels’ teammate Ilkay Gundogan, a creative midfielder, who they reportedly see as a potential long-term alternative to Xavi Hernandez.
