Real Madrid director Emilio Butragueno believes that the mystery over Jose Mourinho’s future at the club is simpler than it looks.
It is seen that the Portuguese is on his way out of the club in the summer after a difficult League campaign matched with continued reports of clashes with players.
However, for Butragueno, the 50-year-old’s future is clearer than the rumours that continue to link him with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain make it seem.
“It is simple. He has a contract until 2016,” the retired striker told Marca today at the publication’s awards presentation.
Butragueno was also asked for comment on the possibility of facing Barcelona in the semi-finals or final of this year’s Champions League.
“First we must eliminate Galatasaray and then we will see. If we qualify, we will see what the draw holds.
“But first is Galatasaray. I anticipate that it will not be easy.”
