Djukic aborts Harbuzi move

Real Valladolid’s rumoured move for Labinot Harbuzi appears to be over before it has started, as Coach Miroslav Djukic says no.

The club were thought to be considering picking up the Swedish midfielder on a free transfer as he sits out of contract.

However, following on from a reported unsuccessful trial at the club back in November, Djukic has made clear in responding to questions on the latest rumours that he does not want Harbuzi signed.

“In my team there is never anyone brought in without proof,” reflected the tactician.

“We are working in the best League in the world, I will defend it tooth and nail. Here we have the best players, he cannot come.

“The players have to be ready, they have to be in the right condition, have something different or we can see them in the project. This to me is sacred and, while I am Coach, this move is not going to happen.

“We have to see this player, but where can we if he has no team? In a field? Running by the river? But I do not stop to see players.

“I give my opinion and the rest [at the club] should take responsibility for their decisions.”
