‘Porto were disadvantaged’

Vitor Pereira lamented the situations on Wednesday evening that went against Porto, in their Champions League elimination to Malaga.

The Portuguese side had to substitute Joao Moutinho at the break, had to play a majority of the second half with 10 men after Steven Defour’s second yellow and had two goals ruled out correctly for offsides.

“We were behind in the game for the disadvantages, without imprinting the dynamics that we like to,” reflected Pereira afterwards.

“I’d be lying if I did not say I expected us to stay in the Champions League, but now we have to think to Madeira, our next League match.”
