Dani Alves commented that the true Barcelona was the side that defeated Milan 4-0 yesterday, rather than the one that previously lost 2-0 to the Italians.
Barca turned around that two-goal first leg deficit yesterday to recorded an aggregate 4-2 win in the Champions League Last 16.
For full-back Alves, the performance that provided the result was a sign of the real Barca.
“This is the team’s identity. We know how to control the rhythm of the game,” the Brazilian told reporters post-match.
“In this magical night we defeated a great rival. The response from this team in decisive matches is usually very good.
“I think that, once again, the members and the fans left the stadium with a sense of pride. We aren’t the team that lost to Milan.
“We’re the team that won this evening. We pressured, created chances, and so on.”
