Allegri wants improved Milan

Massimiliano Allegri has labelled tonight’s game as ‘like any other’, but has also asked his Milan side to improve further if they are to eliminate Barcelona.

The Rossoneri secured a 2-0 win in the first leg of this Champions League Last 16 tie, but their Coach sees them as needing to improve further, if they are to successfully navigate a path to the quarter-finals on Tuesday evening.

“We want to stand up to Barcelona. I think we will have to perform better than we did in the first leg [if we want to win],” commented Allegri to his pre-game conference.

“Tomorrow night we will have to improve. The boys will need to be good in attack and make the most of their opportunities.

“We must remain calm – this is a game like any other.”

The Rossoneri are without striker Giampaolo Pazzini, whilst doubts still remain on a number of other players.

“We'll have to see about Mexes' condition. But Bonera is ready and in good shape.

“I see De Sciglio as a full-back for the future, but I think it is too risky.

“We'll also have to see about Niang. Bojan and Robinho are looking good. But the game is long.

“We will have to be careful for the entire match.”
