‘Messi is a monster’

Adriano Galliani has briefly looked ahead to Milan’s Champions League Last 16 return leg with Barcelona, picking out the usual candidate.

The Rossoneri Vice-President spoke to reporters as he and the team landed in Barcelona on Monday, ahead of their second leg against the Catalans, which they go into with a 2-0 lead.

“Messi is a monster, he scores with amazing continuity. Hopefully tomorrow he will take a break. We are facing the best team in the world,” commented Galliani today.

“I expected a very warm atmosphere, with 100,000 people at the Camp Nou. It will be difficult, because we are up against the best in the world.

“Pazzini’s injury is a shame for us, because he was in a magical moment. It was a great time and this injury keeps him out. We lose an important striker, but we have the substitutes to do well.”
