Ancelotti: Valencia have their identity

Paris Saint-Germain Coach Carlo Ancelotti has conceded that his side may have to sit on their lead against Valencia tomorrow.

The French side host Los Che in the Champions League on Wednesday holding a 2-1 aggregate lead from the first leg.

And the Italian tactician has admitted that he doesn't want to get hit on the counter-attack at Parc des Princes.

“We will try and play our football,” he told a Press conference. “We have to defend and attack well – that is our goal for this match.

“Valencia have an identity and I do not think they will veer from that. It is true though, that we may not attack as much so as not to get caught on the counter-attack.”

He also commented on the return of Thiago Silva, who is back in the squad after a month out with injury.

“He is a great player. He has worked very hard to be here. His individual quality will help the team, but a team is only dangerous when they are a team.

“I ask the same of Silva as I ask of every one of my players.”
