Pedro: Handball was clear

Pedro Rodriguez has complained that the referee played his part in determining Barcelona’s 2-0 defeat to Milan.

The Rossoneri’s first goal in their first leg Last 16 win over the Catalans drew complaints at the time from Barca players, as Cristian Zapata inadvertently handled the ball before Kevin Prince Boateng’s finish.

“Mexes pushed me over and Zapata’s handball we all thought was very clear. The referee did not let us talk to him. Eventually we continued playing and it was not to be,” reflected Pedro post-match.

“It was a bad match for us. They played very compact, they got two goals and now we have to come back.

“We tried to play our style of game as always, but sometimes it is not possible. We are now just thinking of the return leg.

“In the Camp Nou they will play very defensively, we’ll get at them and hopefully have better luck there.”
