Mexes, don’t get lost against Barca!

Philippe Mexes has been warned to perform to his best for Milan tonight as they host Barcelona in the Champions League Last 16.

The Italians are set for the first leg of their knockout tie against the Catalans, with French centre-back Mexes anticipated to start in the heart of defence.

For 1982 World Cup winner Paolo Rossi, he could be a key man if the Rossoneri have hopes of an upset.

“Mexes is someone with notable qualities, he’s a very talented player,” Rossi reflected to Sky Sport Italia today.

“In terms of quality, if he was a bit more consistent in his performances, then there would be few players like him around.

“The problem is that he sometimes gets lost – and he can’t afford to do that in the game against Barcelona.”
