Fernando Vazquez reflected on his return to the game on Friday and on the impression Deportivo gave him in defeat at Sevilla.
The League’s bottom side fell to a 3-1 reverse at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium on Friday evening, in what was Vazquez’ return to management after six-and-a-half years away.
“I saw that Sevilla were better than us. We could not overcome them in many phases of the game, but the team never gave up, even when the other team was better they fought,” concluded the former Celta Vigo Coach post-match.
“We have to work harder and better, but the dressing room is fine. Now we have a complicated month, it is difficult and we know it and accept it, but we will fight for this and we have to get our first win.
“We need eight more wins until the end of the season, the team is going to try.
“After all this time away from coaching, I have not seen anything unusual, I’ve gotten back into things pretty early.”
