Villa back in hospital

Barcelona striker David Villa has been readmitted to hospital as the pain caused from kidney stones has persisted.

The 31-year-old was originally treated for a nephritic colic infection caused by kidney stones on Monday evening, before being discharged on the Tuesday and expected back at training on the Wednesday.

However, after being ordered away from training by club doctors yesterday, Villa has been readmitted to hospital for further treatment, as the pain caused by the kidney stones continues to persist.

Villa will certainly miss Barca’s weekend match against Granada. The Catalans then face Milan in the Last 16 of the Champions League the following Wednesday.
