Rami: Goal changes things

Adil Rami has admitted that his late goal for Valencia against Paris Saint-Germain gives them some hope of reaching the quarter-finals.

The French defender struck in the last minute as Los Che lost 2-1 at Mestalla, but the 27-year-old has conceded that his goal and the red card to Zlatan Ibrahimovic gives them a slight glimmer of optimism.

“I am happy personally that I got the late goal, but this is a team sport and we lost today,” he told Uefa.com.

“The worst thing for me is that we conceded two goals and that makes it very difficult for us.

“Now with that goal I scored, plus the fact that Ibra was sent off, perhaps that can change a lot of things for us.

“PSG are very strong though, so we will have to pay attention.”
