Pellegrini: Levante always tough

Manuel Pellegrini is fully aware of the difficulties that weekend opponents Levante present his Malaga side.

The Anchovies travel up to Valencia this Saturday afternoon three points and five positions ahead of Los Granotes.

“Games against Levante are always complicated,” warned the Chilean tactician to reporters today.

“It is a very good team that can dominate your system, they play strong at home and have very experienced players, but we hope that the game is different to last year [when Levante won 3-0].

“[January signing Vitorino] Antunes has the chance to debut. It may be a little hasty, but he is comfortable. The player was in the Portuguese League so will have no problem adapting.

“For [the other new arrival] Morales, he is a little delayed because he came here having not played for a while.”

Three points separates fourth place down to ninth in the table.

“We always try to be at the top of the table. Up to this point we have had some room to breathe because things have been going very well.

“Statistically, at this point there are more teams fighting for fourth place than there were last year. As I always say, things can be won or lost by a single point.”
