Cristiano Ronaldo has conceded that he is unsure whether or not Jose Mourinho will stay as Real Madrid Coach beyond the summer.
The Portuguese tactician has been rumoured through the season to be on his way out of the Santiago Bernabeu in June, off the back of a difficult first half to the campaign and reported breakdowns in communication with a number of members of playing staff.
Speaking to AS on the matter, Ronaldo reflected that the situation is not one he is any clearer on himself.
“Will he stay? I don’t know. I think that he will continue until at least the end of the season, because he’s a Coach who always wants to win and we have many challenges ahead that can still be achieved,” commented the 28-year-old.
“Then he will decide what is best for him, for his professional group and for the club. I do not know what he or the club thinks and I prefer not to talk about it.”
There were rumours that Ronaldo and Mourinho had rowed last month.
“It's a very personal issue, it's sorted and everything's fine. Things that happen in the dressing room stay in the dressing room.”
