A small group of fans chose Deportivo’s training session on Monday evening to vent their frustration at recent results.
Depor began the new year with four points from their first two games under new Coach Domingos Paciencia, but have since suffered consecutive defeats to Osasuna, Valencia and Getafe to leave them rooted to the bottom of the table.
During Monday evening’s training workout at the club’s sports complex, a group of around 20 supporters showed up and made clear their general discontent, throwing insults to a majority of the players.
Tensions rose so much that goalkeeping Coach Jose Sambade went up to the stands to confront the fans and ask them to show greater support to the team during this moment.
Carlos Marchena and another member of the coaching staff also went up to talk to the supporters, before things died down.
