Radamel Falcao will find out today if the Atletico Madrid coaching staff will risk him against Sevilla on Thursday evening.
The Colombian has been working to a specialised training regime in the past week in a bid to recover in time for Atleti’s first-leg Copa del Rey semi-final with Sevilla this week.
Having suffered a hamstring strain set by the club at between grade I and II just 10 days ago, Falcao is seen as determined to play.
However, the club are reportedly unwilling to risk further injuring the striker and will only consider his selection depending upon the results of a fitness test due later today.
Falcao has scored 23 goals in 23 appearances in all competitions for Atletico Madrid this season.
Diego Costa is expected to feature on Thursday evening in his place, should he be ruled out.
