Jimenez wants La Romareda ‘fortress’

Real Zaragoza Coach Manolo Jimenez has asked for extra support from the club's fans during their match against Espanyol.

The Blanquillos host Javier Aguirre's men on Saturday evening, and the 48-year-old has insisted that three points here are vital for their season.

“La Romareda needs to be a fortress for us,” he told a Press conference. “We need to hear the roar from the fans and feel a unity with them.

“Three points against Espanyol are vital. If we don't win, that would be a real missed opportunity.

“I am proud of the players I have here. We have played well, but we lacked experience. All I ask from the fans is to support the team.”
