Piazon: Kaka comparisons normal

Lucas Piazon has reflected on his move to Malaga and determined that he is not fazed by comparisons with Ricky Kaka and Robinho.

The Brazilian youngster has joined the Costa del Sol outfit on a six-month loan deal from Chelsea, having struggled for playing time this season at Stamford Bridge.

Whilst still only turning 19 at the weekend, the attack-minded footballer has made clear his determination to make the most of the move.

“Malaga are enjoying a good moment. I have come to Malaga with a purpose because it is a great club and I was promised that it would be beneficial for me and here I will be very happy,” he told reporters at his presentation today.

“Comparisons with Kaka? It is normal because I played in the city of Sao Paulo and so did Kaka. The Press always talk about me, they say I am the new Kaka or Robinho. For me, there’s nothing wrong in that.

“I can play left or right in attack, and also as a midfielder. I have no preference on a position. Hopefully I will play, I spoke for five minutes with Pellegrini on Tuesday. My purpose is to help the team.

“My first impressions of the club? I saw the team do very well in the Camp Nou yesterday. It was a good game defensively and offensively. They managed with one player less to score a goal and they achieved a good result.

“Before I came here, Julio Baptista spoke highly of the club in the Brazilian media. And he has helped me in training too, to understand what it is to be at this club.

“For me it is better to have Portuguese speaking players to help day by day.”
