Swansea confirm Lamah deal

Swansea City have announced that they have signed Osasuna’s Belgium international winger Roland Lamah on an 18-month loan deal.

The 25-year-old versatile winger, who was born in the Ivory Coast, was reported earlier this week as being the subject of a January swoop by Michael Laudrup’s team.

The Premier League side have now confirmed that they have agreed a deal to bring the midfielder, who has been with Osasuna since summer 2011, to Britain on an 18-month loan agreement.

The Swans have reported on their official website that they also have the option to make permanent the move at any time. Lamah’s contract with Osasuna expires in June 2014.

“This is a great opportunity for me and I’m happy to be here,” Lamah told Swansea’s official website today upon confirmation of the move.

“I know a few of the players here, and I already know that Swansea is a family club that will suit my style of play.

“To play in the Premier League is a dream, and also to play under Michael Laudrup is fantastic for me.

“I am looking forward to starting training and meeting the squad, and then I want to show everyone what I can do.”
