Piazon set for Malaga loan

Rafa Benitez has confirmed that Lucas Piazon is set to switch from Chelsea to Malaga in a loan deal until the end of the season.

The Brazilian youngster transferred across to the Premier League side from Sao Paulo in the summer of 2011 after catching the eye with his performances in Brazil.

Piazon, who was also tracked by Juventus, has spent most of his time since in the London club’s youth set-up, only eligible to play for the first team since January 2012, when he turned 18.

Reports earlier today suggest that the attacking midfielder, who can play in a number of positions in the final third of the pitch, was on the verge of completing a loan switch to Malaga and at today’s Press conference at Chelsea, manager Rafa Benitez clarified that a deal is agreed.

AS believe that the player has already had a medical in Spain on Tuesday.
