Jimenez wants home improvement

Manolo Jimenez is hopeful that the visit of Levante in midweek will be the chance needed for Zaragoza to turnaround their home form.

The Aragonese have lost their last three home games on the spin, including a League fixture in mid-December against Levante.

However, in welcoming Los Granotes back to La Romareda this Wednesday for the second leg of their Last 16 Copa del Rey clash, Jimenez is hoping for a change in fortune.

“We must win and break the run we are having a home where we have inexplicably lost games that we should never have lost when we have been the better team,” declared the Coach to reporters today.

“We will be playing with confidence and self esteem, looking to progress, since all teams play better games in their own stadium.

“It cannot be that away from home we are strong and show ourselves and then at home we miss out on the games due to the small details.

“The Cup is important for us, but we know how difficult it is to win. We’re going to try and get as far as we can and do everything possible for a good game against Levante.

“Whilst they will make changes, Levante always play the same and they have spent the last two years at the very top. It is very clear how they play and we know that.”
