Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao has admitted to being tempted by a move to the Italian top flight.
Falcao has become one of world football’s most wanted with his goals for Atleti, scoring 20 this season alone.
Although it is usually Barcelona, Real Madrid and the English Premier League’s leading clubs mentioned in conjunction with a swoop for ‘El Tigre’, the player himself has spoken of his interest in Serie A.
“Now I am thinking only of the present,” he told broadcaster Sky Sport Italia. “But you can never say never – who knows what is in store?
“I do not exclude a future in Italy. I have a favourite club, but I would prefer not to tell you.”
Falcao is in the running to win the Puskas award for best goal of the year at tonight’s FIFA Ballon d’Or gala.
