Demidov: Celta an historic club

New Celta Vigo signing Vadim Demidov is open to the possibility of staying at Balaidos beyond the end of the season.

The Latvian born Norwegian international’s arrival on loan from Eintracht Frankurt was confirmed earlier today.

“I’m very happy because I’ve arrived at an historic club,” stated the 26-year-old defender at his first Press conference as a Celta player, where he was flanked by Vice-President Ricardo Barros and sporting director Miguel Torrecilla.

“Hopefully I can stay beyond June 30 and do everything I can to help the team. In a good club like this, players need competition. If there was not, this would not be a great club.”

Demidov won two Norwegian league titles with Rosenborg and made 36 appearances for Real Sociedad before joining Eintracht.
