Boca Juniors have confirmed that they have made an offer to take Fernando Gago this January, but that they have yet to hear back from Valencia.
The midfielder has been linked on and off in the past week with a move back to his homeland, reportedly much to Los Che’s annoyance.
Gago commented that there was no truth in the rumours of his intention to leave Mestalla after just six months, but Boca’s general secretary Cesar Martucci has now suggested otherwise.
“We have made a proposal for Fernando and as yet have not received an answer,” Martucci told Radio9 this week.
“Gago has expressed his willingness to return, now it is in the hands of Valencia.”
