Buonanotte’s Palermo talks confirmed

Diego Buonanotte’s representative has confirmed that the Malaga player is in negotiations with Palermo over a proposed mid-season transfer.

The Argentine winger has struggled for playing time on the Costa del Sol and was first reported last week as in discussions, via his agent, over a proposed €3m move to Serie A side Palermo.

“At this moment negotiations between the two sides are on-going after Palermo presented their offer to Malaga,” the 24-year-old’s agent Ezequiel Manera told calciomercato.it today.

“The Spanish club is open to selling Diego and he has already expressed his appreciation for the Italian club.

“He loves playing in Malaga, but has not found the right playing time here, so he would like to try a new adventure.

“So far the only Italian offer has come from Palermo, but I can confirm interest from other European and South American clubs too.

“The focus from director Pietro Lo Monaco has made Diego feel important, which is why I’d say Palermo currently have an advantage compared to the other contenders.”
