Gago: I’ve nothing to deny

Fernando Gago has denied having held talks with Boca Juniors and reportedly recommitted himself to Valenca.

The midfielder was reported as having angered club officials at Mestalla early last week upon his return to Argentina for the holidays when quotes emerged suggesting that he would like to move to Boca.

These reports have persisted during the week and have had the player as in preliminary talks with the Argentine club already, prompting suggestions that Valencia were readying a complaint to FIFA in response.

However, Gago has returned to training with Los Che as scheduled and is reported as having reassured sporting director Braulio Vazquez of his intentions to stay with the Spanish club. The player was also cornered by reporters on his way out of training.

“I have nothing to clarify, I have nothing to deny or explain, they have invented many things,” he is quoted as having told the reporters yesterday evening.
