Pep bound for Premier League

Former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola is said to have decided that he will manage in the Premier League next season.

Guardiola, currently enjoying a year’s sabbatical in New York, has not been short of suitors since leaving Barca at the end of the last season.

The 41-year-old is thought to have given serious thought to coaching a national team, as that would allow him to continue living a more relaxed lifestyle and he would not have be in opposition to Barca.

But Catalan publication Mundo Deportivo believe Guardiola has resolved to join a Premier League club because an experience in England is something he longed for but missed out on during his playing days.

Chelsea and Manchester City are the clubs he has been linked with most often, and both are likely to have vacancies next summer.

The former Blaugrana midfielder reportedly hosted his agent Jose Maria Orobitg and his brother in New York recently, and informed them both of his plans.
