Arsenal could make a January transfer move for Barcelona striker David Villa, according to reports in England.
The Daily Mail believe that Arsene Wenger has already discussed the possibility of bringing the 31-year-old to the club over the winter break.
The Blaugrana forward has been linked with a move to Serie A giants Juventus this season, but the British paper claim that the north London club will look to bring the Spain international to the Emirates Stadium.
Initial indications suggest that the move will only be a six-month loan deal to begin with, and could then include an additional option for a permanent deal thereafter.
Villa has found himself a bit-part player at Camp Nou this season, having failed to complete 90 minutes in La Liga.
