Arda Turan to leave Atleti

Arda Turan's agent has confirmed that the Turkish international is looking to leave Atletico Madrid.

The 25-year-old playmaker has been virtually ever-present in Diego Simeone's side this season, playing 14 League matches so far.

But his representative has confirmed today that he wants to make a move away from Vicente Calderon.

“I have wanted to see him play for another team in another League and Arda also wants to play for another club,” Ahmet Bulut told TRT.

“He wants a different experience. We are working now to try and do exactly that.

“Atletico know of our intentions. If successful, Arda will leave Atleti at the end of the season.”

He then commented, rather coyly, on where the Galatasaray man would move to in the summer.

“There are only five teams in Europe who can bear the cost of the transfer for Arda,” he said. “And he will leave for one of those five teams.”

Arda Turan has a €24m fee release clause in his contract, with Paris Saint-Germain and Russian club Anzhi the most likely suitors.
