Deportivo La Coruna’s players have held crisis talks ahead of their crunch game against Real Valladolid on Monday.
The meeting was an unprompted one, called by the players themselves in an attempt to galvanise the squad for the must win fixture against fellow promoted club Valladolid at Riazor.
Veteran defender Carlos Marchena reportedly took on a leadership role at the meeting, despite only signing for the Turcos in the summer, due to his extensive experience with Valencia and the Spanish national side.
Depor are currently bottom of La Liga and have conceded 17 goals in their last five games.
