Santos Coach Muricy Ramalho has likely set off another round of transfer speculation by declaring his hope in seeing Neymar play alongside Lionel Messi.
The Brazilian wunderkind has been continually linked with a move to Barcelona in one of the coming transfer windows, with the Catalans even believed to have already paid a deposit on a future deal.
For his current Coach at Santos, the opportunity to see Neymar playing with Messi is one that he is looking forward to.
“Neymar is now the fourth or fifth best player in the world, but after the 2014 World Cup he will be at a very good level,” commented Ramalho to reporters.
“To see Neymar and Messi at Barcelona together would be the most beautiful thing in football, I wish.
“Barcelona are a lot like us, they like to play football and I think that for Neymar the best team for him to play in is Barcelona.
“Today Barca are the best for him because Real Madrid play another type of football.
“Neymar’s path to Europe is after the World Cup. Neymar should choose carefully the club he wants and for him the best is Barcelona.”
