‘Madrid a huge & powerful team’

Real Valladolid boss Miroslav Djukic was proud of his side despite their 3-2 loss to Real Madrid on Saturday evening.

Manucho gave the Pucela the lead twice in the first half at Estadio Jose Zorrilla, but two goals from Mesut Ozil and one from Karim Benzema secured the win for Los Blancos.

The Serbian Coach however was delighted with his team after the final whistle.

“I am happy with my team's work,” he told the club's official website. “Especially in the second half.

“After the break we were more daring and were more secure defensively.

“We competed with a huge and powerful team. The players are going to realise that we can play one-on-one against anyone – just as we did here against Real Madrid.”
