Llorente wants Premier League

Athletic Bilbao’s Fernando Llorente is reportedly interested more in a move to the Premier League than to Serie A side Juventus.

The striker has been the source of transfer speculation since last summer when he confirmed to Athletic that he would not be renewing his contract beyond June 2013.

In reiterating that stance this week, reports now indicate that the 27-year-old holds on to the ambition to make a summer move in 2013 to the Premier League.

Linked with Juventus in Italy and Arsenal in England in recent months, Llorente is said by Marca to prefer the Premier League to Serie A for believing that his style of play better matches the English game.

At the same time, Llorente apparently sees more than one Premier League outfit as capable of reaching his wage demands with ease and also providing an attractive signing on fee.

Llorente is free to talk to clubs over a summer Bosman move from January 1, 2013.
