Valencia’s Jonas is banned for just a single game after the Competition Committee chose to take no further action for his elbow offence.
The Brazilian was shown a red card on Saturday night for catching Real Sociedad’s David Zurutuza with a flailing arm and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) have confirmed today that he will only serve the one game for it.
Sent off over the weekend for two yellow cards, Getafe’s Diego Castro, Real Zaragoza’s Glenn Loovens and Sevilla’s Gary Medel will all also serve one-match suspensions.
Real Sociedad’s Carlos Vela, Athletic Bilbao’s Ander Iturraspe, Deportivo’s Aythami, Celta Vigo’s Gustavo Cabral, Levante’s Juanlu Gomez and Atletico Madrid’s Joao Miranda will all also be missed for Week 15, banned after accumulating five yellow cards.
