The head of the Brazilian federation has ruled out the hiring of former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola.
“The new Coach will not be foreign,” said CBF chief Jose Maria Marin at the inauguration of a new programme. “I have the utmost respect for Guardiola, but Brazil have won five World Cups with Brazilian technicians in charge.”
Marin went on to reveal that he has not spoken to any specific candidates but that the new man will be unveiled at a Press conference in the first week of January.
