Atletico Madrid defender Miranda isn't downhearted by his lack of Brazil action but believes any other nation would have called him up.

The 28-year-old centre back has collected six Selecao caps in the past but has not been part of Mano Menezes' plans of late.

“I don't worry about that, my thoughts are with my club Atletico,” he told a Press conference. “The Brazil team is different. If I was from another country I would have been called up, but we must not think of this.”

Miranda remains fully focused on the Rojiblancos La Liga charge, which continues with a visit to Granada this weekend.

“They are three vital points. We are happy that we're doing well, and although they are a smaller rival, the three points are just the same, and it will not be an easy game.

“We are defending well, but it is not just me and Diego Godin, the whole team is helping.”

The former Sochaux man is unperturbed by the continuing rumours surrounding Radamel Falcao's future.

“The group is not affected by any of those things. Falcao is a great player, he knows how to handle these situations. I hope he stays because he helps us a lot.”
