Alexis Sanchez has been ruled out of action for Barcelona for the next four weeks after tests revealed the extent of an ankle injury sustained.
The Chilean has been confirmed today via a club statement as having sprained the ligaments in his right ankle whilst in action for his national team on Wednesday evening against Serbia.
Tests carried out today showed this damage, with doctors assessing that it will require up to one month of recovery. Effectively, Alexis could now miss Barca’s next eight fixtures in all competitions.
