Cristiano Ronaldo has reassured fans that he will return to action soon after receiving stitches against Levante on Sunday.
The Portuguese international had to go off at half-time at Ciutat de Valencia following an elbow to the face from David Navarro.
But the 27-year-old has thanked fans for their messages of support, as well as confirming he will be back playing in the near future.
“Thanks for the messages you have sent me in recent days,” he wrote on his Facebook page. “I feel better and hope to return soon 100 per cent.”
Ronaldo had to pull out of Portugal's squad for the friendly with Gabon on Wednesday, and could miss Los Blancos' match with Athletic Bilbao this weekend.
