Barcelona star and Ballon d'Or favourite Lionel Messi has described Ronaldo as his hero – no, not that one.
The new father, speaking to UK publication Four Four Two, was referring to former Barca, Real Madrid and Brazil striker Ronaldo Nazario de Lima, who said yesterday that he would vote for Messi to win the Golden Ball.
“Ronaldo was my hero,” said the 25-year-old. “I loved seeing players like Zidane, Ronaldinho and Rivaldo, but Ronaldo is the best striker I've ever seen. I've never seen anyone hit a ball like him.”
