Colotto urges Espanyol on

Diego Colotto believes Espanyol must continue their momentum and push further up the standings to catch the other mid-table sides.

The Catalan club have picked up eight points from their last four matches in the League to turn around a dire situation and push for movement out of the relegation zone.

For Colotto, who scored the winning goal at the weekend away to Real Sociedad, the team must continue their work, so as to ease their situation.

“We have to keep climbing the table, now we have the ability to as we are four or five points away from the main group of teams,” the defender told reporters today.

“For strong results and a strong position in the table comes peace of mind. There are moments where you can play better or worse, but I think our philosophy always remains the same, to have the ball and to be protagonists in the game.

“I do not want to talk of a target for the team, but I think that for the level of this squad, after the teams that are called great, we are in that second group of clubs.

“But now we have to pick up the points and think of nothing else.”
