10,000 Germans in Madrid

Borussia Dortmund are anticipated to have brought a support of more than 10,000 fans for this week’s Champions League clash at Real Madrid.

Borussia won the reverse meeting two weeks ago in Dortmund and go into Tuesday’s meeting at the Santiago Bernabeu aware that a win would see them guarantee a spot in the knockout phase.

AS report that Madrid is welcoming more than 10,000 supporters to the city for tonight’s game – 8,000 expected to be inside the ground for the game and a further 2,000 watching on from local bars.

Madrid’s Anti-Violence Commission have been placed on alert, however, due not only to the high numbers but also because of clashes in Germany between fans of Borussia and Schalke at their match last month.
