Diego Simeone says Spain is like Disneyland compared to Argentina when it comes to fans insulting players.
The Atletico Madrid boss was referring to incidents like that in which Cristiano Ronaldo was barracked by a section of Real Mallorca fans at the weekend.
“Do you know what it’s like in Argentina?” he asked at a Press conference. “You can’t even imagine because here it is like going to the theatre. Compared to Argentina this is like Disneyland.”
Simeone was again invited to give his opinion on Radamel Falcao, reiterating his belief that the Colombian hitman is the best striker in the world.
“He has carried on what he began at Porto, with the goals he scored there. The reality is that today he is the best forward in world football, absolutely, and we are fortunate to have him.”
Falcao has had a spectacular start to the season, scoring in 11 consecutive games for a total of 17, with 10 of those in La Liga where he is third in the goalscoring charts behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
