Former Barcelona sporting director Txiki Begiristain will apparently sign with Manchester City as soon as next week.
Begiristain [pictured, left] has been out of work since leaving the Catalan club in 2010 and in appointing former Barca Vice-President Ferran Soriano as their new executive director in August of this year, City have been continually linked with him next.
Catalunya Vespre Esports are alleging today that those continuous links have developed into talks that will conclude as soon as next week when he will reportedly fly out to Manchester and sign on in a similar position at Eastlands to that he occupied at Camp Nou.
Patsy Joan, who worked with him at Barca as technical secretary, is also believed to be joining Soriano’s management team at the Premier League champions.
