Lamah: Osasuna will get out of this

Osasuna winger Roland Lamah is confident Los Rojillos will soon move away from the lower reaches of the table.

The Pamplona club are next-to-bottom with four points, having won just one game from seven this season, but the Belgian international is in no doubt that Jose Luis Mendilibar’s men are in a false position.

“Right now we are not nervous because we know we are going to get out of this,” the Ivory Coast-born 24-year-old told a packed Press conference attended by several children from a school in Bayonne.

“Osasuna is a mid-table team and this is just the start of the season. Even Real Madrid are not in a position that reflects their performances.”

Despite claiming Sunday’s home game with Real Betis is not a six-pointer, Lamah does admit, however, that the players ‘might be under a little pressure from the media if we think about it’.

“Against Betis we are playing on our own ground so we have to get at them from the start and put them under pressure from the first minute. I don’t know if it will be like a final but it will be a great match.

“In the dressing room we are not even thinking of defeat. Besides, at home we have a 12th man, which is our support.”

The Andalusians have made a terrific start to the season and are currently in a Champions League place, but Lamah surprisingly confessed he was unaware where Pepe Mel’s team stood in the table.

“To be honest I don’t know what place Betis are in,” he admitted.
