FIFA President Sepp Blatter says Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi's contrasting personalities make their rivalry fascinating.
Ronaldo and Messi, who both bagged braces in the recent 2-2 draw between Barcelona and Real Madrid, are regularly in competition for the Pichichi and Ballon d'or awards.
“We are faced with two men in a different game, and perhaps contrasting personalities,” Blatter said at a conference in Geneva.
“This is something good for football, I find it awesome. Football cannot have just one type of player. Imagine Messi and Ronaldo were alike. They are the opposite and it is terrific for football to have personalities like them.”
