Higuain cannot split Messi and Ronaldo

Gonzalo Higuain insists he cannot split Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the debate over the world’s best player persists.

The Real Madrid striker is with the Argentine national squad for the World Cup qualifying games with Uruguay and Chile, and when asked to choose which of the two was best El Pipita chose the diplomatic way out.

“I have the privilege of being able to share a dressing room with Messi and Cristiano and I wouldn’t like to compare them.”

“They are both players who have done great things to be listed as the best in the world,” he told reporters.

The 24-year-old had the chance to watch both players in action in Sunday’s El Clasico after being left on the bench in favour of Karim Benzema, having lost his place in the side for last week’s Champions League clash with Ajax.
