Radamel Falcao is enjoying the developing rivalry in the Pichichi race with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
The Colombian is level with the duo on eight League goals so far this season and reflected this week on his view of the battle to be the Division’s top scorer.
“It’s all very tight, but I’m enjoying it, having been above them both at some point in the tournament already.
“Hopefully I can succeed [in being the top scorer], I want to continue competing and to get back to the numbers achieved last year, scoring a lot of goals for Atletico.”
The striker then reflected on his country’s upcoming World Cup qualifying match with Paraguay. Colombia are currently second in the South American standings, after seven rounds of action.
“We have to face this game with the utmost seriousness, to be very alert and not to underestimate them.
“The game will be difficult, because they are used to the heat and they will go out to look for the win.
“We must have ambition to continue our form and to continue to keep winning.”
