‘Depor have what it takes to survive’

Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Alex Bergantinos is confident his side can turn things around, despite their poor start to the season.

The Turcos have won just one of their first seven games of the campaign, but the 27-year-old has insisted that the passing-style Coach Jose Luis Oltra is trying to implement will pay dividends.

“We are convinced that this style is the best for the group,” he told terra.es. “We have to stay competitive, respect our opponents and remain tactically correct.

“Our style is the correct one, but we have to be better defensively.

“We are moving to a phase of the season now where it is important we start picking up points. We are a united group though, and we have players in the squad who know what it takes to stay in this division.”
